A family spread across Slovenia, Austria, Germany and Italy gathered at Akinitis for a seventieth birthday. Forty people came, from small children to the guest of honour’s own siblings.
The point of booking the whole property was simple: everyone in one place. Grandchildren could run outside while the older guests stayed by the fire, and nobody had to leave early to drive to a hotel in the valley.
Dinner was served in the restaurant on the Saturday, and the family used the terrace and the lounge for the rest of the weekend as they pleased.
